We have an aggressive growth plan ahead and are looking to recruit a talented Senior Cost Estimator (M&E) to join our infrastructure business unit in Melbourne.
The role
The Senior Cost Estimator is accountable for the effective management and delivery of assigned services and resources and providing the appropriate expertise to ensure that the infrastructure team meets all clients’ expectations within agreed timelines and budget.
The person
As an industry Professional, you will have provided experience and led teams in estimating; focusing on engineering and construction of major civil projects. Your experience will have preferably been gained with a contractor. You should have solid experience in M&E estimating, be well networked and posses a sound knowledge of the local industry.
- Solid experience in a Senior M&E Estimating role for a national/multi-national company
- Strong background and experience in professional cost management services in public and/or private sector with technical knowledge of all aspects of building services
- Developing and building business relationships at a strategic level
- Developing and implementing business plans
- Developing and managing budgets and forecasts.
- Wide supplier & Sub contractor knowledge
- Recent experience of working on major infrastructure projects including water projects
- Recognised relevant Mechanical/Electrical qualifications
- Computer literate with experience of estimation software such as CostX, Expert Estimator
- Willing and able to work as part of a team with the necessary skills to promote good relationships and a friendly fun environment
