Senior Planner - Any Location

We have an aggressive growth plan ahead and are looking to recruit a talented Senior Planner to report to the National Sector Leader.

The role

The role involves carrying out planning functions in compliance with Aquenta Consulting Quality Assurance and Best Practice Standards and Procedures.

The person

You should have a minimum of 10 years experience working on civil infrastructure projects, preferably as a project manager. You should have experience or be interested in program analysis (for claims and forensic analysis). We are looking for a self sufficient and motivated individual, able to provide support to our other offices when necessary. This is an opportunity for the right person to be involved in the growth of the Planning business unit and we are looking for a talented individual with interest in any of our offices.

Responsibilities will include:

Planning:

  • Preparation of programs and method of work as required to inform the estimating process and confirm constructability and timing of construction projects
  • Review of third party programs to provide independent analysis of construction methodology and timing
  • Preparation and ongoing maintenance of programs for pre-construction phases (feasibility and procurement) of projects
  • Undertake forensic analysis of programs providing feedback to Clients regarding issues being considered.

Project Reports:

  • Reporting on the above as an input to the overall project estimate report or as a standalone constructability report
  • Monthly reporting with regard to program of ongoing processes for preconstruction stages
  • Preparation of independent review reports on program aspects of third party works
  • Presentation of cost estimate data in appropriate format for financial analysis.

Client Interaction:

  • Attend client meetings and provide advice where necessary on programme and staging
  • Attend stakeholder meetings to obtain progress data.

Business Development:

  • Initiate and develop improvements to Aquenta Consulting planning procedures where appropriate within the Quality Assurance System
  • Further develop existing relationships with clients with aim of expanding roles or range of services
  • Identify potential new business opportunities and provide feedback to Business Development Manager
  • A Degree in Quantity Surveying/Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Membership of RICS or equivalent.
