The Surfers Paradise Foreshore Redevelopment project to revitalise the Surfers Paradise Foreshore has been recognised at the 2011 Gold Coast Urban Design Awards.

Taking away a ‘Special Mention Certificate - Space and Space Making’, the award jury were “impressed with the accessibility of the design” and “felt that in so many ways, the design successfully enhanced the destination”.

Aquenta Consulting win Cost Management of $65.6m Echuca Hospital Project

Aquenta Consulting has been appointed by the Department of Health to provide cost management services for the $65.6m Echuca Hospital Redevelopment Project in Victoria. Due for completion in December 2014, the project involves the re-development of the hospital, with the addition of an emergency department, medical ward, sub-acute ward, maternity / paediatric ward, surgical ward, medical imaging department and pharmacy.

The Aquenta team has been involved with the project since 2009, initially completing the master plan, feasibility and schematic design work. Peter Clack, Principal of the Victorian office of Aquenta commented “we’re delighted to be assigned as cost consultants for the final design and construction stages of the Echuca Hospital Project. It’s a project we understand well, working with a team we know and trust and we’re looking forward to a cost effective and timely project delivery in 2014”.

Aquenta Consulting - Counting the cost of the Hornsby Hospital Re-development Project

The Aquenta team has been commissioned to provide Quantity Surveying services on the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital Redevelopment project. The two year development, estimated at $50 - $75 million is another to add to the extensive portfolio of Health infrastructure projects undertaken by the team at Aquenta. Mike McCloskey, Principal and Office Manager for New South Wales said “this win cements our position as a provider of cost management services on multi-million dollar health projects and we’re delighted to be involved”.

Aquenta Consulting appointed as Independent Estimator for the North Strathfield Rail Underpass project

Aquenta Consulting has been commissioned to provide Independent Estimating services in relation to the alliance procurement and TOC development phases of the North Strathfield Underpass project; part of the Northern Sydney Freight Corridor Program. The multi-million dollar project is one of the most complex rail projects undertaken in New South Wales for a number of years. Mike McCloskey, Principal and Office Manager for New South Wales said “this is another great rail win for Aquenta and our track record in the industry speaks for itself. We’re renowned for the estimation of complex ‘Brownfield’ rail projects, and I’m pleased that we’re involved in such a critical rail project once again”.

Aquenta cost manage multi-million dollar Mount Arthur Mine Project

Aquenta Consulting undertook a three year commission to provide cost management services for the underground coal mine project at Mount Arthur. Recently, the team mining team lead by Stephen Birchall has been appointed to provide Cost Estimating Services for the delivery of the newly commissioned Open Cast Mine at Mount Arthur, in the Hunter Valley.

Mike McCloskey, Principal and Office Manager for the New South Wales Operation commented “it’s a great opportunity for us to use our knowledge of this particular project to deliver a cost effective outcome”. Aquenta Consulting - powering the future with Actew AGL

Aquenta has been commissioned to provide cost and facilities management services to Canberra based company, Actew AGL. Securing two contracts, the team at Aquenta will be undertaking a three month strategic facilities management review, and assisting with the cost management of gas and electrical work. Mike McCloskey, Principal of Aquenta Consulting commented “It’s a great win for the team, building on our solid performances previously. Aquenta win commission for South Planning Study in Adelaide

Aquenta has been commissioned to provide cost planning / constructability and commercial advisory services for the South Road Planning Study in Adelaide.  The project runs for a two year period and was granted by the DTEI.

Aquenta secure cost management services for $19m Blakeview School

Aquenta Consulting have won a commission to provide cost management services to the $19m Blakeview School Project. Using experience gained in the delivery of over 130 Building Education Revolution (BER) projects nationally, the team will ensure the effective management and control of costs throughout the project lifecycle.

Aquenta win SA Water asset management commission

Aquenta Consulting have been commissioned to assist with the Componentisation and Depreciation of SA Water’s Desalination Plant and Associated Project Assets. The project is anticipated to last for approximately 18 months, involves a team of three and will be led by the Aquenta team in Adelaide.

Aquenta engaged by Abigroup for $300m Caval Ridge Mining Project

Abigroup has engaged Aquenta Consulting to prepare a commercial tender for the proposed Caval Ridge Mining Project to be operated by the BHP Billiton/Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA).The approximate $300M Project scope includes 14,000,000m³ of bulk earthworks, 20km of access and haul roads, 10 kilometres drainage and a major river diversion. When operational, the mine will produce 5.5 million tonnes per annum.

Aquenta assess the loss of flood damaged Brisbane mansions

Kiln (a syndicate of Lloyds London) have commissioned Aquenta Consulting to assist Loss Adjusters with the reinstatement of flood damaged Brisbane mansions. This project follows the recent natural disaster and requires the independent assessment of damage, preparation of reinstatement scopes, contractual negotiations and financial controls.

Aquenta win commission for $27m Northfield Prisons Project

Aquenta Consulting have been commissioned to provide full Quantity Surveying Services for the upgrade of the Adelaide Women’s Prison and Yatala Labour Prison. The Northfield Prisons Infrastructure project, commissioned by the Department of Transport and Infrastructure is valued at $27m and due for completion in September 2013.

Melbourne Park Re-development Project

 Aquenta Consulting has been engaged to provide full Quantity Surveying Services for Stage 1 of the Melbourne Park Re-Development project. With work underway on this phase of the project, estimated at $168million, the upgrade to the Rod Laver Arena and Margaret Court Arena is expected to be completed by the end of 2014, ready to host the Australian Open in Melbourne in 2015.
