The Project

Sydney Water is delivering SewerFix, a program that aims to protect public health and the environment by significantly reducing overflows and leaks from the sewerage system by 2012. Over the four years to 2012, Sydney Water will spend $560 million fixing leaks and blockages in pipes, installing new pipes and upgrading sewage pumping stations. The project was divided into tranches.  Trance 3 involved the upgrade of approximately 90 SPS's with a value in the region of AUD$80m

Our Involvement

The project was procured under an alliance arrangement and the Aquenta Consulting team were engaged to establish the Target Cost Estimate, review the Risk Contingency and verify the logic of the construction program to ensure it was achievable within the Target Cost.

The Outcome

Tranche 3 of the project was successfully completed in 2004.
