Aquenta – Jacobs Integration

I am delighted to advise that after several months of negotiations, Amec Foster Wheeler has reached agreement to sell the Aquenta Consulting business to leading global firm, Jacobs Engineering Group.  We are excited about the next stage in the evolution of the Aquenta business as part of the Jacobs Group, and trust that you will share in our excitement.  If you have any questions, please feel free to talk to your Aquenta contact. We have also provided these Q&A’s to answer any initial questions you may have.

Q&A’s for Clients

Did Jacobs buy Aquenta as an ABN or are you being wholly absorbed into Jacobs?

Jacobs has bought Aquenta’s ABN. For the meantime, our intention is that Aquenta continues to work as it has been and we will communicate timings around full transition as the integration programme progresses.

How will this change in ownership impact my business / our relationship?

The ownership change will have little effect on your day to day contact with the Aquenta business.

How will I benefit from this new ownership?

Clients will still have the same contacts and access to the same staff. In addition, clients will have access to the extended services, international expertise and expanded geographic footprint offered by the Jacobs organisation.

Will prices change?

Prices are driven up or down by market forces. This will be no different from prior to the acquisition.

There will be no price increases on existing contracts or panel agreements.

How will you deal with conflict issues?

We have taken a diligent approach to Conflict of Interest (CoI) issues. With Aquenta and Jacobs operating in similar markets, there is potential for CoIs. If there is potential for a perceived CoI, we will identify and communicate this as early as practicable and implement a probity plan to effectively manage the perception. At all times we will be in constant communication with the client’s probity and senior management team. We will encourage client organisations to audit the implementation of the probity plan to ensure perceived CoIs are effectively managed.

Who do I call if I need support or resources?

The contact details for Aquenta staff remain the same.

Will service quality/policies change?

You can continue to expect the same level of service from Aquenta that you have always received. The addition of an integrated and active quality team in Jacobs, aims to drive further improvements in the quality of delivery, over and above their existing reputation for service excellence.

Will there be any staffing changes that might affect me?

We do not anticipate any staffing changes. Please use your usual contact at Aquenta.

Who do I call if I have an issue or concern?

In the first instance, it should be the Aquenta contact you are working with. If the communication needs to be escalated, please contact:

Q&A’s for Suppliers

Did Jacobs buy Aquenta as an ABN or are you being wholly absorbed into Jacobs?

Jacobs has bought Aquenta’s ABN. For the meantime, our intention is that Aquenta continues to work as it has been and we will communicate timings around full transition as the integration programme progresses.

How will this change in ownership impact my business / our relationship?

Initially, it won’t change. As part of the integration, we will be looking, on a case by case basis, at Aquenta suppliers and determining whether Jacobs suppliers or Aquenta suppliers provide a more efficient service. We will then choose a best for business approach. Suppliers will be kept informed of any changes to business arrangements, likely in the first three months after financial close.

How will I benefit from this new ownership?

Suppliers will still have the same contacts and access to the same staff. As business operations integrate, there may be opportunities to secure more business as part of any preferred supplier arrangement.

Who do I address my communications / documentation to?

Continue to address them to the same Aquenta contact as you do now until otherwise advised.

Where do I send my invoices to?

Continue to address them to the same Aquenta contact as you do now until otherwise advised.

Will there be any staffing changes that might affect me?

We do not anticipate any changes to staffing. In the unlikely event that your contact becomes unavailable, you can escalate your issue to accounts.payable@aquenta.com.au.

Who do I call if I have an issue or concern?

Continue to address any concerns to the same Aquenta contact as you do now until otherwise advised.
