Congratulations to our Melbourne team who have taken out the 2018 RICS Quantity Surveying Team of the Year Award for their work on the Village Belle Hotel redevelopment project.

“We get the opportunity to work with our clients on some fantastic projects and this is no exception,” said Aquenta Managing Director, Mike McCloskey. “I’m proud of the work the team delivered on this project and could not be happier that their talent and dedication to delivering extraordinary outcomes for our clients has been recognised by industry and their peers.”

The Aquenta team, alongside colleagues and clients Brett Cuthbert and David Shannon from TwinPath Pty Ltd, were on hand to accept the award at last night’s ceremony.

The Village Belle is a heritage hotel and bar located in St Kilda, Melbourne. The redevelopment project included refurbishing the original heritage building and demolishing previous non-heritage additions to the building to make way for a new bar/bistro conservatory and other facilities. 12 new residential apartments were also constructed on a previously unused area of the site. The team provided quantity surveying, cost planning and cost management support from the initial concept stage through to construction and final account settlement.

This is the second year in a row the Aquenta team has been acknowledged by RICS. In 2017, our Perth team took out the Quantity Surveying Team of the Year Award for their work on the Mills Park Redevelopment project.
