Aquenta takes on Scarborough Redevelopment Project

Aquenta’s Perth office has been engaged to provide estimating services on the long awaited redevelopment of the Scarborough foreshore in Western Australia.

The redevelopment, aimed at repositioning Scarborough as a safe, attractive and contemporary beach destination in Western Australia, has been in the pipeline for some time. The project is jointly funded by the State Government and the City of Stirling with an approximate value of $73.4M.

The project will cover approximately 100 hectares of land, including 1.6km of Scarborough beachfront. It will see a complete upgrade to the current facilities and amenities along the Scarborough foreshore to include a new Surf Lifesaving Club building, an outdoor sports plaza with skate park and bouldering wall, entertainment areas, playground, commercial lots for restaurants, cafes, retail space, hotels and offices, extensive landscaping and future planned road extensions linking The Esplanade with the West Coast Highway.

Our team has been engaged to provide cost estimating services and tender analysis at the initial stage of the overall precinct, and has since extended to include estimating of the commercial lots and surf lifesaving club building. As the project continues to grow, our team will be on hand to assist with further services as required.

The foreshore works are estimated to be complete by the end of 2017.
