ACT Law Courts Precinct

This project was the ACT’s first Public Private Partnership (PPP) involving the refurbishment of the existing Magistrates Court and its integration with the new Supreme Court.

Our involvement

Aquenta was contracted for the delivery of PPP services including the design, construction, financing, asset maintenance and court support services over a 25 year concession period. Our team carried out an independent due diligence assessment of the design, construction and facilities management services solutions proposed by the client. Our report examined the complex design, construction staging, energy efficiency, commercial risk allocation and court support services on behalf of the project debt and equity financiers.

Independent technical advisor and financiers due diligence.

The outcome

Juris Partnership reached Financial Close with the ACT Government in December 2015 after successfully obtaining full financial support for the project supported by Aquenta’s due diligence. The role was carried out within strict timelines through cooperative engagement with Laing O’Rourke (D&C Contractor), Programmed FM (Facilities Management) and Macquarie capital (Financial Advisor).
