Brisbane Airport – Review & Strategy Development for Facilities Management Services

Brisbane Airport Corporation Pty Limited (BAC) is the sole passenger airport serving Brisbane and the surrounding metropolitan areas. In 2012, BAC was seeking innovation in all aspects of its business including Facilities Management and Maintenance of the airport.

Our involvement

Aquenta was engaged to develop, in consultation with the Facilities Management Department of Brisbane Airport Corporation, a strategy for the delivery of future Facilities Management (FM) Services.

The outcome

A number of options for delivery of FM services were developed and reviewed in the context of BAC’s success factors set down in the form of a Balanced Scorecard. Management, risk and cost to BAC were examined in the evaluation of the service delivery models and the work order history associated with the delivery of FM Services was analysed.

A Hybrid Outsourced FM Service Delivery Model was recommended as well as the establishment of an external Call Centre operated by a third party.
