Aquenta was appointed to provide full Cost Management services for the tenant fit-out elements. Our early involvement in the Project Definition Plan enabled Department of Finance, Building Management and Works to reduce the project risk by defining what was required to refurbish the building to achieve the Agency relocation and the Functional requirements to create a current generic government open-plan office and to satisfy the appropriate Green Star / NABERS rating. The project also included the review and incorporation of Security and ICT services upgrade.
Pre-Contract Estimating and Value Engineering, Bills of Quantities, Cost Reporting.
There were significant changes to the initial scope, which impacted on the original project budget and potential timeline. These changes were driven by Client changes, latent condition and increased scope for the fit-out to level 3 to accommodate future government agencies.
Overall the project was completed on time, with Aquenta identifying cost risks and highlighting these during regular Client meetings. The business was instrumental in the delivery of the change management process.
