At the beginning of the construction stage, the Project encountered latent condition which had led to extra cost and delay. All the associated bad ground remedial works were recorded and assessed progressively to monitor the cost incurred and the overall financial standing. During the project delivery, additional project scope extensions requested by the Client and the End User Group were reviewed and alternatives were discussed and agreed with the Project Control Group in order to provide effective assessment and management of project cost. These costs include the maintenance of existing NECAP building, ICT works and client’s data and communication services.
Despite the uncertainty of ground condition and the additional scopes, the project was delivered on time and to budget.
