Aquenta was engaged as part of the successful bid team that were contracted to prepare the design services for the refurbishment. Our role was to undertake cost management of the project and manage the budget which was set by the client. The brief was a challenge as the costing model moved from a conceptual cost plan to a traditional trade cost breakup as the project progressed. Various options were also costed to enable the client to make design decisions and progress forward.
The information component of the process was fluid and subject to change throughout the project with new requirements being brought in and other requirements being taken out.
Cost management and planning.
Aquenta successfully provided the client with accurate cost plans and a comparison of the options available which resulted in the client being able to make firm project decisions based on reliable costing. This was as a result of us working collaboratively with the project leader (The Architect), the client’s representative, specialist service providers and structural engineers on this challenging project.
