Aquenta was engaged to deliver a range of cost and contract management services for the redevelopment project including full cost management services, independent review and report on original concept scheme, review and recommendation of managing contractor submissions, negotiation of guaranteed construction sum with managing contractor and management of final account. During the construction phase we also carried out contract administration and audit quantity surveyor services.

Aquenta provided early advice on a suitable contracting methodology for the project, and managing contractor design and construct was adopted. This enabled a fast tracked design and construct solution and provided an upper end cap on costs through the agreement of a guaranteed construction sum. The agreement also returned the majority of any savings to the client for reinvestment back into the project.
To achieve the required scope within the budget we recommended the use of light weight modular seating stands, amenities blocks and food and beverage outlets.
