Aquenta was engaged as the Cost Manager for the upgrade project, working closely with the State Government project delivery team, including Department for Planning, Transport & Infrastructure and Department for Corrections. We provided a full suite of cost management services, from feasibility estimating through to construction phase cost control. The project was delivered via three separate construction contracts – Package 1 was completed in 2013; Package 2 was completed in 2014; and Package 3 is due for completion in late 2015.

Working within the secure confines of two operational correctional facilities presented numerous challenges for both client agency and project delivery team. Aquenta has provided clear and consistent advice enabling the Client to make key decisions regarding both procurement strategy and additional scope (approximately $10 million) to substantially improve the operational capabilities of both facilities.
