Cost management.

The outcomes

During the design development phase we steered the value management process to bring the project back on budget. Working closely with both DPTI and DCSI, we estimated costs associated with additional scope items comprising a security “drum” to the perimeter wall; improved specification for the dividing wall in each of the five accommodation units to provide greater operational flexibility and security; and improved specification to the security control room. Additional funding was secured for this extra scope, providing increased security and operational future proofing of the facility.
